The Mayflower Atlantic Row
Dan Wooler, founder and chair of trustees, and three friends from Plymouth are embarking on an incredible challenge – rowing across the Atlantic Ocean to raise £200,000 for star* and The Mustard Tree Cancer Support Center.
Their journey of 3,000 miles, encompassing over 1.5 million oar strokes, is a testament to their determination and commitment to these important causes.
Race start - La Gomera, Canary Islands – 12th December 2024
Race finish - English Harbour, Antigua
Duration - 40-45 days
Schedule - 2 hours rowing, 2 hours off

Chew Valley 10k - 01.06.25
Join us for the 13th annual Chew Valley 10k on Sunday, 1st June 2025 at 9:30 AM! This scenic race through the stunning Chew Valley countryside is a fantastic opportunity to support the star* scheme, one of this year’s beneficiaries. Over 1,000 participants are expected to take part, whether running, volunteering, or cheering on the sidelines. Registration is now open, with entry fees set at £25 for adults (19+ years) and £15 for teens (15–18 years). UK Athletics members can enjoy discounted rates, and all participants must be 15 or older to enter.
During checkout, scroll down to the sports giving section where you can select a charity to fundraise for select star* scheme and a fundraising page will be created for you. Additionally, you can also make an optional donation to the star* scheme, further supporting our mission.

Georgie’s 1000 miles LE JOG Challenge
Georgie, accompanied by an 81 year old, cycled 1000 miles self supported, from Lands End to John O’Groats. They raised nearly £15,000 for star*.

Fourth Annual star* Dinner
The 2024 annual star* dinner was a spectacular event! Over 330 people celebrated the successes of the star* scheme and helped raise over £60,000!
Bristol 10k
Ninety enthusiastic runners participated in the Bristol 10k, successfully raising over £12,000 for star*.
